Belgium
Through Harold’s Lens:
Last night
Before our date.
You gave me a red rose
You kissed me tenderly.
You kneeled
You gently lifted my left hand
You looked into my eyes
You said “will you marry me?”
You slipped a diamond on my finger
Your eyes glistened
Tears rolled down my cheeks
I leaned and kissed you gently.
I whispered “yes!”
Today
Brunch in a Belgium Cafe
You savoring a delicious beer
I savoring you.
I dreamed of our life together
Our children
To be
Our home
To be
Our life values
Our education values
Our religious values
How we love to be with each other.
Our tenderness
Our touch.
Our care
Our concern.
Our love.
“In sickness and in health
Until death do us part”
Bruges, pleasant, but pricey. I travel to Belgium frequently, and love the way the this small nation punches above its’ weight.
World leaders in extrusion, beer, automated garage doors, and dare I say it coving (which is what I sell).
Best of all is the vast array of affordable quality restaurants in each and every town.

Thank you snowgood. Agree. And, thanks for discovering my blog http://www.throughharoldslens.com. Sorry my appreciation is so late. I have been traveling in Turkey for five weeks with Mr. SLR Nikon and his brother Mr. Pen Pal.

Aw, Harold, you always astound me with the emotion you capture in a photograph…and then you blow me away with the words…

Thank you my friend. Often I am inspired by the engaging words, woven into one unit, by a very talented writer named Amos van der Merwe.
