Through Harold’s Lens:

Please start the music first, as you are enjoying the images and words.

You will receive the full sensual experience of this story.

Bottom of our world
Where ice mountains drift
Where winds of ice blow
Where giant condors soar.

The melodic beauty
The haunting sounds
The lone pan flute
Flowed.

Across the Andes Mountain Range
Around thick, wood forest
Around dark, bark trees
Around green, pine needles.

Drawing me
Luring me
Sucking me in
Capturing me.

My first view

Long black flowing hair
Strong fighting face
Distant stare
Spiritual leader?

What was happening here?

The Great Spirit?
Deep religious rite?
Communication with ancestors, Gods?
Fireballs, comets, shooting stars?

Cultural worship?
Harmonious earthly elements?
Wind, rain, mountains, springs
Animals, birds, trees, plants
Full moon.

Ritual love affair?
Language of the land?
Traditional. Native
Beauty, love
Honor, virtue.

Slowly
Silently
I nestled in
Soft pine needles.

Listening
Swaying
Emotionally bathing.

The beauty of our world.

  1. Love it! Great minds think alike 😉 Harold and I first experienced this beautiful music LIVE on the streets of San Francisco. I was SO captivated, I didn’t want to leave! We should have bought that instrument. Another musical treat to “deck the walls” in Harold’s studio 🙂 Well done! Love you ❤

    • That it is Angeline. Thanks you. Happy you enjoyed. Andes peaks soaring into brilliant orange, red, purple sunsets. Andes valleys cascading down into the ocean. In between, the soothing, tranquil and soothing sounds of the pan flute floating below the lips of the spiritual men, woman and children of the land.

    • Thank you Ute. The beauty of the the pan flute is so soothing to me. When I found this music on You Tube, heard the melody, saw he scenery, much of it from Chile and Argentina, I knew it just had to blend in with my newest post. May the music, my image and my poem help keep you in your usual kind, loving, upbeat mood.
